One door with stylized kingwood flowers on Satine wood background, inlaid on oak. The inner side of the door offers rosewood fillets in a geometric designs. Top red original marble (restored)
Rare inlaid model with a typical drawing only used by BVRB which can be seen on the pair delivered by Joubert on December 31st in 1757 for the use of Madame de Pompadour in the Chateau de Bellevue (Sold at Sotheby’s, Paris on October 22nd in 2008) and on another one delivered in 1755 for the “Trianon de Marbre” exhibited in the Chateau de Versailles (inv. GME18227) namely for the event “Remeubler Versailles, du Garde-Meuble de la Couronne au Mobilier National”.
