Large lotus shaped silver Thali (lunch plate). Thali were used at feast, lunches or ritual offerings to deities during the mughal period in India. Some large oval, and circular models engraved with a similar decoration, are presented in the Victoria and Albert Museum (London) and published in Terlinden, Mughal Silver Magnificence(1987)
